For the last couple of years I've helpped Mike out at "The Bike Hutt" with the Cyclo Cross Series in Upper Hutt with the lap counting and results.  This year Mike asked again, and I was only too happy to help again.  But this time I really wanted to lift the quality of the results for the riders, make the lap counting less stressful, and have it not consume to sometime to compile the results from our manual lap counting. So....

• lap it provides details of...
• how many laps the rider has done
• how long the last lap too them
• and where they are currently placed
• it also keeps a leader board

This makes compiling the results a whole lot quicker too.  There are 4 more races to the season, each spread out by a fortnight, which gives me a great opportunity to develop the application further to automatically produce the results by the end of the season. 

The next step is to set up the application cater for other events; run, mountain biking, and even triathlon.  Basically any event that is lap or stage oriented.
